About Programme and Project Sponsorship The professional Programme and Project Sponsorship (PPS) certification has been developed specifically for Senior Responsible Owners (SROs) and Sponsors or Executives of programmes and projects. It is based on Best Management Practice guidance such as PRINCE2® and MSP® and combines leadership ability with PPM skills. The PPS syllabus has been split into four separate units to offer flexible half-day training modules: The role of the sponsor The sponsor working with people Identifying and establishing a programme/project The delivery journey. The syllabus is methodology independent and uses generic terms as far as possible. However, it is assumed that candidates are familiar with Best Management Practice guidance. Candidates should also be, or aspire to become, Programme and Project Sponsors, also known as SROs/Project Executives. These are typically at management or senior level in their organizations who often have responsibility for several programmes or projects. Who is it for? Although primarily aimed at project and programme managers, this certification is relevant to anyone seeking to lead, shape and achieve positive outcomes from change (change managers and business analysts for example). Why Certify? Effective stakeholder engagement (particularly social skills and the ability to influence others) has long been regarded as crucial in achieving positive outcomes and driving benefits through investment in change. The certification has been specifically designed for senior managers that sponsor programmes and projects; this includes Senior Responsible Owners (SRO's) that have been made accountable as individuals for a specific programme or project. Exam Format Objective testing 65 questions per paper 65 marks required to pass (out of 100 available) - 65% 90 minutes duration Closed book.
